Ein Stück Liebe

10+

Head of Group: Marcel Leemann

Summary:

As part of the youth club, young people develop a dance piece over the course of a year that explores the complex and multifaceted theme of love. In intensive rehearsals lasting several months, they develop choreographies that express both their own experiences and universal aspects of love. In doing so, they embark on a creative journey that goes far beyond mere dance movements.

The theme of love is explored in all its facets: from the first adolescent crush that begins with butterflies in the stomach to the insecurity and doubt that accompany unfulfilled expectations and the fear of rejection. The young people explore the euphoria that arises when feelings are reciprocated, but also the pain when relationships fail or feelings are not shared.

With: Greta, Angelina, Anna-Lena, David, Carice, Svea, Linda, Leonora, Olivia, Katharina

Break the cycle

Age 12+

Head of Group: Martyna Czerw

Summary:

Break the cycle

Mother and Father — both important, fascinating figures — play vital roles in our life. Parents. Relationships. The past.

The lack of understanding, of communication.

All will be revealed in this play.

The sun shines bright above the sea. But when the storm comes, it hides behind the moon’s flickering lights. How will the sailor reach the shore in such a light?

Will he fall into the ocean? Will he sink into the abyss - that place of despair, confusion, and anger?

A cold place. Cold like her heart.

Like my mother. Like the house without her

Or... will he ignite the fire?

Break the cycle?

War - Imagine it is here

by Janne Teller

Age 12+

Head of Group: Nicola Fritsch

Summary:

Imagine there's a war—not somewhere far away, but here in Europe. Democratic politics has failed, and fascist dictatorships have seized power. Those who can are fleeing to the Middle East, like the 14-year-old protagonist from Germany. He and his family are trying to start a new life in an Egyptian refugee camp. Because he doesn't have a residence permit, he can't go to school, learn Arabic, or find a job. He feels like an outsider and longs for home. But where is home?

With her text, bestselling author Janne Teller dares to undertake a stirring thought experiment, which the theatre group tACTlos transforms into a moving and moving theatre experience.

Meet me Halfway

by Emmanuelle Vinh

10+

Head of Group: Emmanuelle Vinh

Summary:

The performance "Meet me halfway!" is an invitation to meet the young performers between childhood and adulthood. They provide insights into their thoughts and feelings, demand to be heard, and focus on topics such as social isolation and belonging. They articulate their anger, their insecurity, and their search for identity – all of which words often fail to express, are made tangible here.

The piece was created through a participatory process in which the young people themselves contributed their own themes and helped shape the creative process. This allows the tension between independence and security to be experienced authentically.

"Meet me halfway!" ties in with the motto #reACT:

Theater creates spaces for encounters, invites bridges to be built, and opens up new ways to connect with one another.
